► ABOUT ROGERS HEALY
Rogers Healy was born to build, market and sell. Rogers was born in Corpus Christi, moved to San Antonio as a child, and then made his final Texas stop in Dallas in the early 1990’s. From day one, he’s always looked for opportunities to network, learn and work harder than anyone.

Rogers’ real estate launched back in 2001, while an undergrad at Southern Methodist University. A self described opportunist, Rogers saw the need for fellow students to get assistance when looking for off campus housing.

“I’ve never had a problem doing the work others didn’t want to do. Everyone needs a place to live, so I found a way to help my fiends at SMU, whether they were renting their first apartment, or buying their first condo.”

After a few years of learning the business of real estate, Rogers launched Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate in 2006. Determination and energy proved to be the perfect ingredients for getting RHA launched, and even still, that’s the approach.

In 2008, Rogers founded Healy Property Management, which has grown to one of the most successful property management firms in Texas. In 2009, Rogers founded Healy Global Relocation, which is the only company in the world that helps clients with all their real estate and moving needs, all over the world.

“I’ve been blessed to have found success in business, especially in the world of real estate. That’s always rewarding, but the the truest joys I experience is with my people. Seeing them grow, watching them learn and being a part of their lives gives me a sense of impact and a full heart. No deal will ever replace that.”

Rogers Healy and Associates is a multi-time winner of the ‘INC 5000’ fastest growing companies in the US, ’The Best Places to Work in Dallas,’ by both the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Business Journal, the ‘SMU 100 Fastest Growing Businesses’ award, and the ‘100 Fastest Growing Companies in Fort Worth,’ by Fort Worth Magazine.

During Rogers’ tenure in business, he’s been the recipient of many notable awards, including REALTOR Magazine’s ’30 Under 30,’ The Dallas Morning News Executioner of the Year, The Dallas Millennial Club’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Year,’ The Dallas Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40,’ the Collin County Business Press’ ’40 Under 40,’ The Park Cities People’s ’20 Under 40,’ The ‘Most Influential Leader in Real Estate,’ by Luxury Home Magazine, ‘Power Player’ by Dallas Modern Luxury, D Magazine ‘Top Producer’ and ‘Best REALTOR.’ In 2018, Rogers was recognized as one of the Top 100 REALTORS in the country (out of over 2,000,000 people). With over $4,000,000,000 in closed deals and counting, Rogers aims to always be at the top of the list.

Rogers is the real estate expert on national TV for Fox, Fox News, Fox Business News, CNBC and MSNBC.

In his free time, Rogers loves spending time with his family, his three dogs (Black Lab-Batman, Weimaraner-Coach, and Amigo, his German Shorthair), his church at Highland Park Methodist, Crossfit and listening to vinyls on his record player.

Most Of The Country’s Population Now Has A Democratic Governor – News Today

Most Of The Country’s Population Now Has A Democratic Governor - News Today

Most Of The Country’s Population Now Has A Democratic Governor – News Today With the inaugurations of Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Monday, a majority of Americans now live in a state with a Democratic governor.
The two inaugurations mean 175 million people ― a majority of the United States’ estimated population of 325 million ― have Democratic governors. Pritzker, a billionaire former businessman who will govern the 12.8 million people of Illinois, easily defeated incumbent Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner in 2018. Kelly, a former state legislator, defeated Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who was infamous for his conservative views on immigration and voting.
The GOP will still have a majority of the nation’s governorships — 27 states have Republicans leading them, compared to 23 states led by Democrats. Before the 2018 elections, Republicans had a 34-15 advantage, and Alaska had an independent governor.
Democrats picked up seven gubernatorial seats previously held by Republicans in November, running mostly on a message of expanding health care coverage and increasing education funding. They also narrowly lost elections in Ohio, Florida and Georgia.
“This past November, Americans loudly rejected the chaos and failed policies of Washington D.C. by electing Democratic governors in record-setting fashion,” Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo, the chair of the Democratic Governors’ Association, said in a statement. “Now, a majority of Americans can count on a Democratic governor to expand access to affordable health care, invest in strong public schools, and fight for an economy that works for all.”
ASSOCIATED PRESS
Former Rep. Michele Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, was sworn in as New Mexico’s governor on New Year’s Day. She is one of just two governors of color in the entire country.
But despite Democratic gains in 2018, the nation’s governors still don’t look much like the nation’s population. There are no black governors — while Democrats nominated black candidates in Florida, Georgia and Maryland, all of them lost. And there are just two governors of color – David Ige in Hawaii and newly-elected Michele Lujan Grisham in New Mexico, the first Latina Democrat elected to a governorship in U.S. history.
And while a record number of women were elected to Congress in 2018, there are still just nine female governors in the country: Republicans Kay Ivey of Alabama, Kim Reynolds of Iowa and Kristi Noem of South Dakota; and Democrats Kelly, Grisham, Raimondo, Janet Mills of Maine, Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Kate Brown of Oregon.

Top prep gets reinstated after she was suspended over a clerical error – Daily News

Top,high, school, basketball, recruit, gets, reinstated, suspended, clerical, error Suspended prep basketball player Maori Davenport has been reinstated by the Alabama High School Athletic Association after receiving an outpouring of support from celebrities like Kobe Bryant and Billie Jean King when she was ruled ineligible for mistakenly violating the state’s rules on amateurism.
Davenport, a senior at Charles Henderson in Troy, Alabama had been ruled ineligible by of Steve Savarese, the executive director of the AHSAA, after she mistakenly received an $857.20 check from USA Basketball, which has since been repaid. The check was sent mistakenly, and USA Basketball had attempted to correct the clerical error.
A Pike County Circuit Judge granted an emergency motion, allowing Davenport to play in tonight’s home game.
‘Maori is BACK!!!!!’ read the Charles Henderson High School Facebook page on Friday morning.
‘Thank you, God,’ Tara Davenport, Maori’s mother, wrote in a text message to AL.com. ‘Our baby girls is back on the court! Her happy place.’
Earlier on Friday, Davenport’s parents filed a lawsuit against the AHSAA and its director in hopes of clearing her return to the hardwood.
USA Basketball gave Davenport the check for ‘lost wages’ after she played for its Under-18 team in a tournament last summer, inadvertently running afoul of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s amateur rule. According to ESPN, the AHSAA prohibits payments over $250.

USA Basketball contacted the relevant parties to explain the error after Davenport had cashed the check. She has since returned the money and appealed the decision, which was upheld twice before apparently being overturned on Friday.
Davenport addressed Alabama’s Republican and Democratic caucuses Tuesday about her situation and several lawmakers urged state high school officials to reinstate her.
The 6-foot-4 Davenport told The Associated Press while she and her parents visited the Alabama Statehouse that she didn’t believe she did anything wrong.
‘I hope to play again this year, but if I don’t get to play again, I just want them to help this not happen to any other student-athlete in Alabama,’ said Davenport, who has signed to play college basketball at Rutgers.
She received an outpouring of support from around the country, including tennis legend Billie Jean King, Kobe Bryant, the WNBA, Golden State Warriors center Demarcus Cousins, and Rutgers coach Vivian Stringer.
‘This is maddening,’ King tweeted. ‘To force Maori Davenport to miss her senior year of high school basketball because of a mistake that wasn’t even her fault is nonsensical. Do the right thing, @AHSAA_hoops, and let her play.’
: ‘The WNBA urges the Alabama High School Athletic Association to reinstate Maori Davenport. Let her play the rest of her senior season instead of being penalized for an honest mistake made by others.’
Bryant amade Davenport’s case on Twitter: ‘This #MaoriDavenport situation is just about the most ridiculous th

[BREAKING NEWS] Stephen A. Smith explains why Alabama's blowout loss was good for Nick Saban

Clemson’s 44-16 beatdown of Alabama in Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship game saved the sport, and it was actually a positive thing for Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

The Tigers, led by true freshman Trevor Lawrence, shredded Alabama’s secondary, while their defense held the Crimson Tide to a season-low in points scored and handed them their worst loss in the Saban era.

But in a relatively predictable college football season where many anticipated seeing these two teams in the title game for a third time in four years, the narrative was always about Alabama’s excellence, and it was boring. As Smith said Tuesday on ESPN’s First Take:

“Clemson, to me, saved college football (Monday) night, and I’m not engaging in hyperbole by saying that because all we’ve been talking about it Alabama. We remember the 35 points South Carolina dropped on Clemson, we remember how Syracuse gave them a run for their money, losing 27-23. We remember Texas A&M dropping 26 on them earlier this year in Jimbo Fisher’s first year. We saw those things, we looked at the schedule and we said, ‘You know what? Clemson’s a good team, but Alabama’s on another level.

“What Dabo Swinney showed us (Monday) night is that he’s been waiting all year long to coach against this man, Nick Saban, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. So when I look at it from that perspective and I’m thinking about the monopoly that Alabama has had over college football, and now you’ve got Clemson — who’s won two national titles within the last four years — going up against Alabama all four years, I think it’s sensational for college football.”

Smith is right. Very nearly everyone talking about college football — For The Win included — said it was the Crimson Tide and the Tigers and then everyone else, but really, it was still all Alabama.

But despite Clemson dealing Alabama its worst loss in the Nick Saban era, Smith explained why he sees a silver lining to the Crimson Tide’s disastrous ending. He continued:

“I also think in this sense, (Monday) night, there was a positive and a negative, believe it or not, to (Nick) Saban.

“The positive is that when you get annihilated like that, all of this stuff — no matter how much they’re winning by, how Nick Saban stays on everybody, how he’s known as a curmudgeon to some degree, constantly berating, constantly going after it, so intense, never a relaxed moment — we’ve decried that from time to time. We see now why he’s that way, because you can never take any time off. You can never assume anything. You can never take anything for granted. And that’s an incredible lesson to learn. That’s the positive.”

The negative is, of course, that this was an embarrassing loss by what was thought to easily be the best team in the nation. Alabama was frazzled, ill-prepared and predictable, and “that is a bad, bad moment… because the invincibility has been stripped, no doubt,” Smith said. But despite Clemson dealing Alabama its worst loss in the Nick Saban era, Smith explained why he sees a silver lining to the Crimson Tide’s disastrous ending.
